Amelia Opie lives and works in Portland, OR and shares her life with her husband and adult autistic son. She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but at the age of 3 her family moved to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In her late 20's she visited a sister living in Portland, and she was really struck by all of the murals all over town, and by the energetic vibe of the city. She ended up moving there, and staying. She is happy to call Portland home for the last 30 years.
