Mystery & Moonlight with Dawn Panttaja, Jaclyn Evalds & Ha Austin

Show dates: October 2 - November 1, 2025 * First Friday: October 3, 5-7PM

About the Artists:

Dawn Panttaja: Dawn is primarily a doll make and loves the female form and all her adornments. Each doll will take 12 - 15 hours over an entire month. It’s a long process of modeling, forming, slow drying, twice firing and glazing. Once finished, she is strung together and perhaps dressed.

Jaclyn Evalds: Jaclyn moves through a world that is numinous and embedded with enchantment.  Its influences speak to her through stars, plants, insects, and animal friends.  In reply, she offers her art in curious and joyful collaboration.  Her oil paintings and embroideries serve as a reminder that there is beauty and spirit in a world that can seem harsh and empty of meaning.  Her work is an invitation to be captivated by the subtle moments of magic in the familiar, and experience the everyday world through a lens of wonder.

Ha Austin: Ha’s two-sided business cards highlight her two very different types of pottery. Her Sgraffito (carved) ware brings us whimsically decorative birds, animals and nature on food-safe daily ware, while her unique crystalline-glazed pieces have a fine art feel.

In this group show Ha will be exhibiting her crystalline-glazed work sharing the mystery, challenges and joy of growing two dimensional zinc-silicate crystals on the surfaces of porcelain pots.
