Donna Bates: Donna Bates’ years of experience as a commercial illustrator and 3D Artist for over 20 years has evolved into a career in painting. She is a self-taught figurative artist that is known for her own fresh mash-up of tough-chic style and social commentary that shows off how badass women can truly be!
Tamara Goldsmith: The Magic Hour Glass is the portal through which I translate my ideas visually. I specialize in small, portable stained glass artworks that describe modern subject matter utilizing primarily traditional techniques. My work describes animals, portraiture and iconography in glass rather than architectural styles rooted in conventional geometry and abstraction. I aim to transport the viewer toward thoughtful introspection through images resembling a memory or snapshot in time. I’m inspired by surrealism, dark arts & oddities, bizarre animals, and unusual modern-day ironies and concepts that celebrate the transformative moments of life. I aspire to create pieces that propel visual storytelling by utilizing the ever-shifting, magical qualities of the ancient art-form of stained glass as its vehicle.
